Hayfever can be effectively treated for many people by using daily antihistamine tablets and/or nose sprays or eye drops. For some people symptoms are not controlled this way, and seasonal once-or twice injections used to be offered on the NHS (many years ago) and are still available privately.  For those people suffering significant daily symptoms despite maximal prescribed treatment, injections can hugely improve their enjoyment of the summer months.
